Apologies for not updating website more often this spring but time seems to have just flown by and we have been incredibly busy.
The Iris we are growing for Cayeux Iris for Chelsea 2014 are growing well Last year we struggled to have any in flower ,this year we are about 2 weeks ahead and keeping as many plants as possible in shady,cool areas. Still we are optimistic of putting on a good display.
In general our Iris do not appear to have suffered at all during the awful wet winter weather and are flowering and growing well.
The shows we attended in April and early May were sucessful and we had lovely displays of Iris for sale
The next show we are at is Kent Garden Show at Detling Kent over May Bank Holiday weekend.
However we have decided this year not to have any open weekends at Iris of Sissinghurst The building work at nursery is still underway and we have decided to concentrate on setting up new polytunnels and Iris beds ready for next year
