This year the weather has delayed flowering of all of our Irises . At the moment we still have short bearded Iris and Intermediate Irises in flower and no tall bearded Iris in flower The plants we grew for Cayeux Iris for Chelsea Flower Show were severely delayed by the poor light and cold temperatures and although we could create a display we had to use mostly Intermediate Iris and were awarded a Bronze Medal.
However the buds are beginning to break in the talls and so we have decided to open the nursery on Saturday 1st June and Saturday 8th June between 10.00 and 4.00pm at Cornwells Farm Sheephurst Lane Marden TN12 9NS We should have a stunning dispaly this year and hope you will be able to visit us then.
Iris of Sissinghurst is also at the Kent Garden Show at Detling Maidstone on 25/26/27th May 2013 We are in the main marquee and if you are visiting the show come and say hello.
